Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about vascular conditions, vein care, treatment options, insurance coverage, and what to expect during your visit.

Are vein treatments covered by insurance? ⌄
Yes. Medically necessary treatment for varicose veins and venous insufficiency is covered by Medicare and most major insurance plans. Our team verifies your benefits before any treatment is scheduled.
Are the procedures painful? ⌄
Most vein treatments are minimally invasive and performed in the office using local anesthesia. Patients typically experience little discomfort during treatment.
How long is the recovery time? ⌄
Recovery is typically minimal. Most patients are able to walk immediately after treatment and return to normal daily activities with little to no downtime.
Do I need a referral to book an appointment? ⌄
Referral requirements can vary depending on your insurance plan. Contact our office and our team can help determine what is required before your appointment.
What is the difference between varicose veins and spider veins? ⌄
Varicose veins are larger, raised veins that may cause aching, swelling, or discomfort. Spider veins are smaller red, blue, or purple vessels that appear closer to the surface of the skin and are often primarily cosmetic.
